A MAN was arrested by police for a sexual offence after a vigilante group carried out a "sting."

A vigilante group named Our Team called the police after confronting a man in Holme Lacy Road in Hereford on October 30 at around 5.30pm.

Officers attended and enquiries are currently ongoing.

A police spokeswoman said: “A man in his 30s from Hereford was arrested on suspicion of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He has been released under police investigation.

"Because someone is under investigation and legal proceedings are active, we are unable to comment further on this incident. “
