THE Etsy Christmas Market returns to Hereford's Left Bank next month, bringing festive cheer while raising money for Hereford's homeless community.
Visitors will be able to browse handmade gifts made by over 50 local makers and craftspeople.
The festive event will include a raffle to raise funds for Hereford Open Door, an organisation based in St Peter's House which provides services throughout the year for the homeless and people in need of support.
Sara Harvey, Hereford Etsy Team Captain, said: "The winter months can be very difficult for people without a permanent home. Hereford Open Door provides a valuable service which is accessible and non-judgemental. The charity offers cooked breakfasts, hot drinks and company in a safe space twice a week throughout the year. Their services are always in demand more during the winter months and as everything it offers is completely free of charge, Open Door is reliant on volunteers and fund-raising.
“The Hereford Etsy team is delighted to be able to contribute towards this worthy cause. Last year we welcomed over 1000 visitors to our one-day Christmas market so running it over a weekend should be an extra boost for Open Door.”
Raffle prizes include a hamper celebrating local producers and four tickets to the New Year's Eve ball at the Left Bank.
The first 20 visitors to the market will on each day will receive a goodie bag of Etsy treats, and one recipient will receive a £20 voucher to spend at any stall at the event.
The Etsy Christmas Market takes place on Saturday December 1 and Sunday December 2 from 11am to 5pm.
