A TEENAGE girl was taken to a major trauma centre after she was in an accident with a car.

The crash happened on Friday night on Ross Road in Hereford at around 4.20pm.

A paramedic officer and three ambulances attended.

An ambulance spokeswoman said: "She suffered serious injuries and was given trauma care on scene before being taken to a major trauma centre."

Paramedics also treated a woman who had felt unwell after witnessing the crash. The spokeswoman said she was given treatment and taken to hospital.

Police were called shortly before 4.30pm to a report of a Honda Jazz car colliding with a pedestrian at the junction of Ross Road, Holme Lacy Road and Walnut Tree Avenue.

The pedestrian, a 15-year-old girl, was taken to hospital for treatment and her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Road closures were in place whilst emergency services were in attendance.
