A FORMER magistrate has appeared in court accused of speeding.
At Hereford Magistrates Court Karen Harvey of Leigh Sinton Road, Malvern pleaded not guilty to two counts of speeding and one of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver/ rider of a vehicle when required.
The first speeding charge said on April 17 on the A40 in Pencraig she exceeded the 50 mph speed limit while travelling towards Monmouth.
The second speeding charge said on April 20 on the A4103 at Fromes Hill she exceeded the 40 mph speed limit.
Both were recorded on manned equipment.
Harvey, 55, last sat as a magistrate in Worcester in 2015/16. She was placed on the supplemental list last year which means she no longer sits in court to adjudicate or hear cases.
She will next appear at Hereford Magistrates Court on January 7 for a case management hearing and to set a trial date.
