HEREFORDSHIRE Council Chair, Councillor Brian Wilcox made a special visit to Hereford's Royal Mail Delivery Office to thank local postal workers as they gear up for Christmas, their busiest period of the year.
Councillor Wilcox said: "It was great to meet the team at Hereford and thank them for the extraordinary lengths they will go to ensure Christmas parcels and cards are delivered on time, as well as thanking them for delivering our mail services all through the year, in all weathers."
Delivery Office Manager Ricky Sault said: "We are grateful that Councillor Wilcox visited the office to support the team, who will be working extremely hard to make deliveries to people in Herefordshire this Christmas.
"We'd like to remind our customers to post early this Christmas and to ensure that all their mail if posted by the recommended dates. If everyone uses the postcode on every item of mail, this also helps us greatly at this very busy time."
The last recommended posting dates for Christmas are: Second Class, December 18, First Class, December 20 and Special Delivery, December 22.
