THE best Christmas shop windows were recognised by the mayor at the town hall in Hereford.
Taylors Pharmacy in St Owen Street took the top spot for their traditional theme of a winter landscape coupled with a central message of being well and looking after oneself.
Second prize went to national retailer Card Zone in Eign Gate who went for a Dickensian shop window.
Runners-up for best Hereford business was Jones Haircutting in East Street for their reindeer display and best national went to Seasalt Cornwall at the Old Market Shopping Centre.
There were more than 27 entries and more than 1,000 public votes.
The competition was run by Hereford City Life, part of Hereford Business Improvement District.
All winners were received by the Mayor Sue Boulter, accompanied by Mike Truelove from HBID, to receive their certificates at the town hall.
