A MAN was airlifted to hospital in Birmingham following a crash on Haywood Lane, near Hereford.
An ambulance service spokesman said reports that a car had crashed into a tree leaving one person trapped with potentially serious injuries were received at 3.18pm on February 22.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, two BASICS doctors from the Mercia Accident Rescue Service and the Strensham Air Ambulance were sent to the scene of the crash.
Fire crews from Hereford and Ewyas Harold also attended the scene and cut one man in his twenties free from the wreckage of the crashed car.
The man suffered serious injuries and was taken by air ambulance to the major trauma centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
