A MAN was left with serious head injuries after falling down stairs in Hereford on Sunday morning (June 9).
A 47-year-old man from Hereford was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm after police were called to a separate incident on Bridge Street at 1.05am.
He was later arrested and questioned, before being released on police bail pending further enquiries that evening.
Following the assault, the same man who was assaulted is believed to have fallen down some stairs near Aubrey Street. He was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious head injuries.
He is currently in an induced coma in a stable condition.
