A WANTED man sparked a police search near Ross-on-Wye on Monday evening.
Eyewitnesses reported a heavy police presence around the town and police helicopters flying late in the evening.
Police today confirmed that a 26-year-old man from Newent was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following an incident in Hereford that officers were alerted to at 9.50pm on June 24.
Police officers and the National Police Air Service made a search of the area in an attempt to locate the man.
The man was taken into custody at 3pm the next day, and following questioning was released on police bail pending further enquiries.
