A MOTORCYCLIST was killed in a crash with a car near Ledbury on Sunday.
The A438 between Ledbury and Tewkesbury was closed at Hollybush after the crash happened at around 11.40am, and the rider, a man in his 50s, died at the scene.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham attended.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, ambulance staff found members of the public carrying out basic life support on the rider.
"They immediately took over and provided advanced life support, but sadly it wasn't possible to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
West Mercia Police said the car, a BMW, was heading towards Eastnor while the motorbike was travelling in the opposite direction when they collided.
His next of kin has been informed and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
