A ROADSHOW aimed at helping small and medium sized businesses to reach their potential will be coming to Herefordshire.
Hosted by business coaching and training firm Good2Great, the July 17 seminar at the Three Counties Hotel will be open to people who run a local company of any size.
The event will be overseen by Good2Great director Johnny Themans, who has 30 years of business and retail experience.
The former senior manager at JD Wetherspoon has since passed on his knowledge and advice to hundreds of SMEs both locally and nationally.
"This seminar is aimed at companies which have been in business for a year or more and whose owners are hoping to take them to the next level,” Johnny said.
“It can be a lonely time for business owners to be making key decisions about the future, especially with the uncertainty over Brexit.
“Research suggests that although 80 per cent of most business start-ups survive the first year, the survival rate after three years is only just above 50 per cent.
“Our roadshows focus on small changes which can make a massive difference. All businesses are different and evolve at different speeds, but the challenges they face are very similar.”
Among the topics covered by the seminar will be how to increase income, reduce hours worked and be less stressed.
Advice can also be given on how to unlock funds that may be available to help develop the business.
Laura and Ross Hughes of Signs and Labels, based in Imperial Business Centre in Hereford, have signed up for the seminar.
Laura said: “We are a family run company based in Hereford and we help businesses promote their brand and message through signage and visual communication. We have grown organically from small beginnings to now being one of the leading suppliers within our region.
“We originally met Johnny through a government-funding programme where we were able to look at our business model and create a clear idea of what our company will look like in the next year or two.
“As a young team it’s great to have someone like Johnny to look up to as a role model and guide us be more business minded.”
