A COMMUNITY action group has been launched in Bromyard to clean up the town's image.
Headed up by Charlotte Martin, an inspiring group of town residents have volunteered their services to new group, Brush Up Bromyard.
Volunteering a few hours each week and coordinated through the new Brush Up Bromyard Facebook page and Bromyard info, they engage local residents and the local youth group to help weed, litter pick, wash and brush up the town to make it more presentable for both visitors and residents.
Working their way through sections of each street, the action has attracted local business support from Gilberts, who provided new equipment to support the cause.
Squeeky Cleanz have also lent their support, by cleaning up local road signs and using the tag #BrushUpBromyard to encourage people to advise where any additional signs need a scrub!
A group spokesperson said: "The community spirit and support for the volunteers, notably Eric Turner, Charlie Martin and Lucy Aldridge, is wonderful to see.
"The engagement from local teens and the youth group makes this a whole community effort, something that should be recognised and encouraged throughout the county."
