POLICE from Herefordshire were called to help paramedics after a man was seen brandishing knives.
Officers from West Mercia praised the team from West Midlands Ambulance Service for their bravery after getting the call this morning.
Paramedics arrived in Malvern at 4.30am and were confronted by a man with the knives.
The Local Policing Priority Team said they worked alongside officers from South Worcestershire to "provide Taser support".
"But it was the bravery of the ambulance crew that de-escalated the situation without force being used," the police added on Twitter.
