A BURGLAR who was found hiding behind a bathroom door has been sentenced to five months in prison after breaking into a house near Leominster.
On November 21, 2018, two men were found hiding in a house on Hereford Road in Kingsland after they entered through a downstairs window. They were both arrested at the scene and later charged with the offence.
Kristian Davies, 29, appeared at Hereford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, July 16 where he pleaded guilty to the burglary, and to further offences of disqualified driving and driving over the drug drive limit.
Davies, of Pump Piece, Leominster, was already on a suspended sentence for disqualified driving and was sentenced to five months in prison. He was also disqualified from driving for 40 months.
A 32-year-old man of no fixed abode had previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced in March to 150 hours of unpaid work. He was also made to pay £185 in costs and £50 in compensation.
Following the sentencing, PC Bob Anning from West Mercia Police said: "I hope this result demonstrates that we take domestic burglaries and the associated offences very seriously, and we will always work to bring those responsible before the courts."
