THE rarely-opened Shobdon Court will soon welcome visitors to explore its grounds and the adjacent St John the Evangelist Church.
The north Herefordshire venue is open between 2pm - 5.30pm on Sunday, August 18 and will greet visitors with a centrepiece lawn featuring a spectacular Cedar of Lebanon, Oak and Oriental Planes, among many other delights. The arboretum boasts a mature tree canopy and smaller acers below.
The church, meanwhile, is an opportunity to see a wonderful example of 18th Century Rococo Gothic architecture.
