A NEW disability friendly golf course is open for play in north Herefordshire.
Head of Leominster Tourism Gill Ding cut the ribbon on the adventure golf course at Grove Golf and Bowl in Ford Bridge on Wednesday, aided by Derek Price MBE, President of Grove Golf Club and Knighton's town Crier.
The course has been built to test the putting skills of all abilities, with slopes and obstacles to challenge even the most accomplished player.
It has been designed to wheelchair friendly and enables all ages and abilities to join in the fun, with all equipment provided.
A beer garden with a central oak framed barn and al fresco seating area has been constructed to complement the course.
A Grove Golf spokesperson said: "It is hoped that this course will inspire starters to progress through the other training facilities available at the Grove.
"Junior lessons take place from 10.30am to 11.30am every Saturday, and we are offering ladies group lessons led by PGA Pro Gary Morgan from 11am to 12pm every Monday. Please feel free to turn up or contact Gary on 07737 183659 for more details."
