CHILDREN have the chance to learn more about fire safety as a city bookshop plays its part in helping youngsters.
The Children's Bookshelf, which moved to Blueschool Street in May, is hosting an event on Saturday with Hereford &Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
Four to seven year olds will be able to learn about calling 999, as well as initiatives like stop, drop and roll, if an item of their clothing is on fire.
For every 10 books sold on Saturday, a 'golden ticket' £2 voucher will be given to a local school.
The free event will be held between 10.30am and 12.30pm, with shop asking for donations to the Fire Fighters Charity.
