A HEREFORD restaurant has held a party to celebrate its re-launch.
The Bookshop in Aubrey Street has been redesigned with what it describes as "sharp new look".
The dining area is bigger, food is now being served seven days a week, and the steak-led evening menu and Sunday lunches have been improved with more choice.
The Bookshop opened in 2015 and is one of three restaurants in the A Rule of Tum group run by brothers Edwin and Dorian Kirk. It has been shut during the refit.
The Kirks' local-first ethos has won huge support from the community, with a crowdfunding campaign launched last year raising more than £500,000 to expand the restaurants and secure their future.
The brothers now own their two original Hereford sites (the Bookshop and Burger Shop) on Aubrey Street, and a neighbouring space into which they have expanded.
A spokesman said: "We are using local makers and craftspeople where we can: plates from local potter Steve Meek, leather aprons hand-made by Toria at Field and Found, coffee roasted by Mark and Tre at Method Roastery in Worcester, lighting designed by Simon from Fritz Fryer, and local art from printmaker Sunny Todd, to name a few."
