DAMAGE was caused to two cars as a crash partially blocked a road near Ross-on-Wye this morning.

The crash happened at the Old Gore crossroads on the A449 at around 9am this morning.

There were no injuries and the road is passable with care as West Mercia Police wait for the cars to be recovered.

The accident comes less than two weeks after a woman was airlifted to hospital after being involved in a crash at the junction with the B4224.

The crash which involved a Kia Picanto car and a Peugeot Expert took place at around 2.45pm on September 23.

Police were appealing for witnesses.

UPDATE 1pm: The road has since been cleared.
