A VILLAGE pub has closed down at short notice after months of "difficult trading".
The Old Boot at Wellington, near Hereford, has been placed into administration and as a result will remain closed indefinitely.
"The management would like to thank all of our customers and staff for their support over the past two years," a Facebook post on the pub's page said.
"It's been a blast and we are so glad that so many of you have enjoyed our pub.
"Trading has been very difficult over the past few months, and we have no choice but to place the business in administration.
"We hope the Old Boot will reopen at some point, but we are unable continue to run the business."
The pub reopened in 2017 after a refurbishment.
