The Russian National Ballet return to The Courtyard to present Christmas classic, The Nutcracker, one of the jewels of Tchaikovsky's repertoire and audiences can expect to be transported to a magical new world where the nutcracker may not be who he first appears to be.
The original Christmas story is based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King written by E.T.A. Hoffmann. It tells the story of Marie, a sad little girl, whose godfather, Drosselmeier, gives her a Nutcracker doll as a present on Christmas Eve. In her lively imagination it turns into a prince and the magic starts.
Russian National Ballet is a family run company that focuses on bringing the best ballet productions to British audiences. The Nutcracker is the ultimate fairy-tale where goodness and beauty triumph, a perfect festive treat for all the family to enjoy.
Audiences can add some extra sparkle to their visit by upgrading their tickets to enjoy Prosecco and sweet canapés during the interval.
