A HOTEL in Ross-on-Wye will close its door for the final time at the end of the month owing to the ill health of one of its owners.

Wilton Court Hotel has been sold by Helen and Roger Wynn, but at this stage the couple do not know what the plans are of the new owners.

"As some of you may already be aware it is with regret that due to Roger, my husband's ill health, we have taken the sad decision to cease trading," Mrs Wynn said.

"Therefore will be closing the Wilton Court on the December 30.

"Roger and I are going to remain in Ross on Wye and are looking forward to our retirement.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support and patronage over the last 20 years which we value very much indeed."
