VILLAGERS are calling on Herefordshire Council to reject plans to build up to four homes on a flood plain.
The Diocese of Hereford wants to develop land north of the B4348 next to Worm Brook.
But Much Dewchurch parish council has objected because the site tends to flood.
“This field, including the area of the proposed site, is under water several times a year," a council spokesperson said.
"The flood map in the planning application is out of date and is not a true picture of the flooding that occurs."
However, architects working on the plans say it will deliver social, economic and environmental benefits and will not result in any adverse effects.
