THE DRIVER of a car that crashed into a telegraph pole near Bromyard had to be cut free by fire crews.
The air ambulance was among the emergency response to the single-car collision on the B4214 at Edwyn Ralph on Friday morning.
"One car had left the road and was in collision with a telegraph pole with one person medically trapped," a spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said.
"Fire crews from Tenbury and Bromyard worked together to remove the roof and doors to release the driver."
Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were also at the scene, along with West Mercia Police.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service said: "We sent one ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham to the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was the driver of the car.
"He was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Hereford County Hospital by land ambulance."
