A person in one of Herefordshire's neighbouring counties has tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the UK to 23.
The case in Gloucestershire was one of three confirmed by the Government yesterday. The others were in Berkshire and Hertfordshire.
Two of the patients had recently travelled back from Italy while the other had returned from Asia, Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty said.
The three cases are being investigated and any individuals who had contact with the patients are now being traced.
The Gloucestershire case is thought to be the closest to Herefordshire so far.
A member of staff at St Mary's Primary School in Tetbury tested positive for the Coronavirus, with headteacher Jo Woolley confirming the news in a letter sent to parents earlier today.
The school will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, with the hope of re-opening on Wednesday.
Hereford Sixth Form College is continuing to monitor the situation as students returned from a skiing trip to northern Italy, and Leominster Primary School was "cleared and cleaned" after a supply teacher had also returned from the country.
