WORKS to repair a busy Herefordshire route that was heavily damaged during Storm Dennis could be complete by the end of the week, it has been confirmed.
The B4399 Holme Lacy Causeway was closed after flooding caused significant damage to the edge of the carriageway.
The closure left many motorists facing miles of diversions and delays, while repair works were initially expected to take up to three weeks, with an anticipated completion date of March 16.
But with works progressing well, the road could reopen as soon as Friday, Balfour Beatty Living Places has confirmed.
