POLITICAL activists have targeted billboards in Hereford to highlight the challenges people are facing during the coronavirus outbreak.
Featuring quotes attributed to a carer and the Daily Mail, the huge posters have appeared on one of Herefordshire's busiest routes, Belmont Road in Hereford.
"I've just spent the last 8 hours disinfecting the bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges and dining rooms of 23 of the 47 residents in my care home. I will not let them die without a f***ing fight," one billboard says, apparently quoting a tweet written by Shazza T.
"'Flog your private island and pay your staff': Richard Branson among billionaire owners facing fury for asking staff to take unpaid leave," says the other.
Writing on social media, campaign group Led By Donkeys said: "This virus is highlighting the best of us (and the worst of us)."
Formed in 2018 as an anti-Brexit political campaign group, Led By Donkeys quickly shot into the public eye, with a crowdfunding campaign funding their posters on billboards across the UK.
