A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital on Thursday evening after being involved in a crash with a van near Hereford.
The A4110 was closed on Thursday evening between Hereford and the A44 near Leominster due to the crash, shortly before 6pm.
West Mercia Police said the road was closed at Bush Bank, near the Bush Inn, and emergency attended the scene, including the air ambulance.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 5:44pm last night to reports of a collision involving a motorbike and van on the A4110 in Bush Bank.
The Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford attended, along with two land ambulances, a paramedic officer and a BASICs doctor from Mercia Accident Rescue Service.
"We treated one patient, a man, who was the motorcyclist, for injuries not believed to be life threatening before taking him the QE Hospital by air ambulance for further treatment."
One fire crew also attended the scene to make a vehicle safe.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 6.08pm. We mobilised one appliance from Kingsland which found it was a van versus a motorcycle.
"The crew made a vehicle safe."
In a video shared on Twitter by the fire crew, the Midlands Air Ambulance could be seen responding to the crash.
