A TOTAL of two coronavirus-related deaths were recorded at care homes in Herefordshire in the two weeks to April 24, new figures show.
Office for National Statistics (ONS) data shows the deaths were reported to the Care Quality Commission on April 10 and April 21.
Notifications about deaths must be sent to CQC without delay, ONS said. Notifications are typically provided within 2-3 days of death, with low levels of reporting at the weekend and high levels on the first working day of the week.
As well as the two deaths related to Covid-19, there were a further 22 deaths in care homes reported over the two-week period.
In separate figures from NHS England, 31 people are known to have died at the Wye Valley NHS Trust after testing positive for coronavirus.
