POLICE on patrol have again been busy in Herefordshire, tackling illegal activity on our roads.
Officers from Herefordshire's Operations Patrol Unit were called to a report of a burglary yesterday, where car keys had been taken.
Police said the vehicle was recovered in Leominster, and the driver arrested for taking without consent, disqualified driving and drug-driving offences.
Another driver was caught breaking the rules on Hereford's Kings Acre Road, despite heading out for a legitimate purpose.
"Albeit an essential journey for food supplies, but the vehicle used must have a vehicle excise licence, MOT and be insured for the driver. The VEL was two years and two months out," police said.
Yesterday's stops follow on from a number of other traffic stops in recent days, with several arrests made on Herefordshire's roads and beyond in the last couple of weeks.
