A WOMAN and child had a lucky escape after their car flipped over on Holme Lacy Bridge last night.
Emergency services were called at 7.50pm last night to the B439 to reports that car was upside down on the road near Hereford.
The incident was described by emergency services as a "single vehicle collision".
A woman and female child were treated for minor injuries, both were discharged at the scene.
Firefighters made the car safe before police dealt with its removal.
The road was closed but re-opened later the same evening.
