A BOMB disposal squad was called to a Hereford street after a grenade was found in a garden.
Troops were scrambled to Longmeadow in Lower Bullingham after the occupants of a house found a hand grenade while gardening on Monday (May 18).
The grenade, known as a Mills bomb, was used by the British Army in the First and Second World Wars.
It was safely recovered by troops from 11 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps.
