A WOMAN was left injured after she was attacked by a man in Hereford, a court has heard.

Richard Raymond Mountford of Ebnal Close, Leominster admitted the assault when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on June 29.

The court heard Mountford had caused the woman actual bodily harm on November 16 last year.

The 24-year-old was handed a two-year community order and must undertake a 29-day Building Better Relationships programme.

Mountford was also fined £300, ordered to pay £100 in compensation, and made subject to a six-month restraining order banning him from contacting his victim or attending her address.

He must pay court costs of £185 and a £90 victim surcharge.
