ABOUT 50 jobs are at risk at a Bromyard factory as the business looks to adapt to "challenging market conditions".
Holden Aluminium Technologies in Station Road will close by the end of the year, its parent company Hydro Group said.
A spokesperson for the aluminium and renewable energy company, headquartered in Oslo, said: "I can confirm that due to challenging market conditions in the UK, Hydro will restructure its operations and close the aluminium fabrication business unit in Bromyard, Holden Aluminium Technologies.
"The activities currently performed in Bromyard will be moved to our Bedwas site in South Wales.
"The Bromyard plant has around 50 employees and the planned restructuring is expected to be completed by end 2020.
"Hydro will conduct the process in accordance with established agreements with unions and UK legislation."
Established in the 1950s, Holden Aluminium Technologies has supplied products to the transport, medical and construction industries, including Aston Martin, Renault and Morgan Cars as well as Channel Tunnel trains and GCHQ.
