TWO people were rescued by firefighters after a "large tree" fell on a house in Bromyard.
Firefighters evacuated two people from a bungalow in Rowan Walk in Bromyard, off Winslow Road, shortly before 11.30pm on Thursday evening (July 9).
The tree had fallen onto the bungalow, covering the garden and blocking a footpath between Rowan Walk and Firs Lane.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Bromyard were called at 11.28pm on July 9 to a dangerous structure in Rowan Close, Bromyard where a large tree had fallen on to a bungalow.
"BT cables had been brought down and a triple extension ladder was used to evacuate two occupants who went to neighbours. The police also attended but there were no casualties.
"A footpath was blocked and Herefordshire Highways and BT were informed with the incident handed over to Balfour Beatty. The incident was closed at 1.25am."
