MORE coronavirus cases have been recorded in Herefordshire over the weekend.
The number of people who had been confirmed as testing positive for coronavirus in the county has risen by two, the latest official figures show.
The rise comes after the number of recorded coronavirus cases in Herefordshire increased by 28 on July 17, official figures show.
Public Health England figures show that 864 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 3.58pm on Sunday (July 19) in Herefordshire, up from 862 on Friday.
The health body is now including Pillar 2 tests, those carried out by commercial partners, alongside Pillar 1 tests, which are analysed in NHS or PHE laboratories and which made up the first stage of the Government's mass testing programme.
The rate of infection in Herefordshire now stands at 449.7 cases per 100,000 people, in line with the England average of 450.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 726 over the period, to 294,792.
Herefordshire's cases were among the 26,227 recorded across the West Midlands.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
