THESE are some of the latest Herefordshire cases heard by magistrates.
Kieran James Bufton, 27, of Greenfields, Kington, admitted assaulting another person by beating on April 5, and again on April 6.
He also admitted destroying a dinner plate worth £3 belonging to his victim on April 6.
Bufton was handed a 12-month restraining order and an 18-month community order, and must complete 150 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay compensation of £100 and a £90 victim surcharge.
No costs order was made due to a lack of means.
Richard Geoffrey John Gwynne, 37, of HMP Berwyn, admitted taking a Renault Trafic van from a Hereford address without the consent of the owner on March 27.
He also admitted stealing various items and assaulting a police officer by beating on the same date.
Gwynne was jailed for one month after the court heard he had taken the vehicle after being refused a lift, had disposed of the keys in an unknown location, and had taken items from the van.
He received a two week sentence, to run concurrently with the first, for stealing a mobile phone, two chargers, various items of clothing and two bottles of aftershave from Todor Todorov.
Gwynne received a further one month sentence, also to run concurrently, for assaulting a police officer acting in the course of their duties.
He was disqualified from driving for seven months and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
No costs order was made due to imprisonment.
David John Poole, 41, of Lodon Avenue, Bromyard, admitted drink-driving in Hereford on December 6.
Magistrates heard Poole had 60 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath when he was caught driving a Ford Focus on Belmont Road.
Poole was fined £120, disqualified from driving for 12 months, and must pay a £32 victim surcharge.
Bradley Jay Wooding, 21, of Brampton Avenue, Ross-on-Wye, admitted causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage to a window on June 16.
The court heard Wooding had intentionally caused £594 of damage to a window belonging to Enhanced Homes in Ross.
Wooding was discharged conditionally for 8 months and ordered to pay compensation of £594.
He must also pay costs of £135 and a £20 victim surcharge.
Linda Warburton, 64, of Sandpits, Leominster, admitted drink-driving on May 7.
The court heard Warburton had 51 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath when she was caught behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta on Sandpits. The legal limit is 35.
Warburton was fined £100, disqualified from driving for 14 months, and ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge.
No costs order was made due to a lack of means.
Mark Alan Weaver, 42, of Beaufort Avenue, Hereford, admitted drug-driving on January 11.
A test revealed Weaver had 395 microgrammes of cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine per litre of blood when he was stopped on the A40 near Ross-on-Wye. The legal limit is 50.
Weaver was fined £120, disqualified from driving for 16 months and must pay a £32 victim surcharge.
No costs order was made due to a lack of means.
