We asked readers which restaurants they’d loved as they headed out for discounted meals during August as we all Eat Out To Help Out. Here’s a selection of the county’s restaurants you visited last month
The Bell is set amongst blossoming fruit trees about four miles north of Hereford and has been a traditional family run pub since 1988.
It survives today thanks to the food trade, but, they say “we like to think we have continued to keep the pub a pub whilst serving good food.”
At present, they are not serving a carvery, but food is now being served: Monday-Saturday 12.30-8pm and Sundays 12.30-3pm.
“Amazing food, great staff”
“The Bell at Tillington by a mile. Fab service and food”
www.thebelltillington.com/01432 760395.
A modern British restaurant serving coffee, brunch, a steak-led evening menu and an award-winning Sunday lunch (Observer Food Monthly Awards, Best Sunday Lunch 2017).
The restaurant celebrates organic vegetables and grass-fed steak, with the addition of a greater choice of seasonal fish, vegan and gluten-free dishes.
The menu showcases the team’s creativity in fermenting, pickling and foraging, and use of a handmade charcoal-fired Fogarty oven.
Sunday lunch is served between 12.30pm and 6pm.
“Brilliant service and amazing food. We will most certainly return.”

The Bell at Yarpole is a community-owned pub, recently reopened by the new tenants, Dom and Nick, who took on the tenancy during lockdown.
Both are keen gardeners and love to experiment with new recipes.
It’s all about local, home-grown and beautiful food!
The ancient building, dating back to the 17th century, has been extensively renovated and sits in about three-quarters of an acre of pasture in the heart of the village.
The pub itself is connected to the original cider barn which would have produced the refreshment from the many orchards in the area.
Well behaved dogs are more than welcome and water is provided for our four legged friends.
Open for food, Wednesday to Sunday.
“Absolutely amazing food, staff and prices. Can’t fault it, can’t wait to go back”
“OMG, the food is fabulous, great staff, great prices, well worth travelling to.”
