TWO more coronavirus cases have been found in Herefordshire, the latest official figures show.
Public Health England figures show that 1,060 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Wednesday (October 7) in Herefordshire, up from 1,058 the same time on Monday.
It means since last Wednesday (September 30) there has been 39 cases reported in the county.
The rate of infection in Herefordshire now stands at 550 cases per 100,000 people, far lower than the England average of 827.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 14,162 over the period, to 544,275.
Herefordshire's cases were among the 49,228 recorded across the West Midlands, a figure which rose by 928 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
