A POACHER was caught with illegally hunted gamebirds after trespassing on land near Eastnor, Hereford magistrates have heard.
Shane Jeffrey Marsh was found guilty in his absence on October 2 of trespassing on land at Clenchers Mill Lane, Eastnor, in pursuit of game birds on January 19.

The court heard the 30-year-old had been searched by police at the scene, where he was found to be in possession of pheasants and ducks which had been unlawfully obtained.
Marsh, of Oaks End Close, Hengoed, was fined £440 and ordered to pay compensation of £255. He must also pay costs of £135 and an £88 victim surcharge.
