A HEREFORD school has today issued a statement following a confirmed coronavirus case.
Hereford Cathedral School headmaster Paul Smith said: “As a result of a confirmed positive coronavirus case, a small number of our nursery children are required to self-isolate for a period of time, as calculated by Public Health England. Most of this period coincides with our half term break and the children will be able to return to the nursery shortly after the holiday.
“We have worked closely with the Department for Education and I am pleased to say that we have been informed that the School is meeting national and local guidelines in dealing with the situation.
“We are however, not complacent and we continue to work hard to ensure the safety and well-being of our school community.”
