TRAINS to and from Hereford were cancelled on Friday afternoon as the track to Worcester needed "urgent repairs", West Midlands Railwaysaid.
There was disruption on the line between 2pm and 4pm on Friday, with a track defect needing repair near Malvern.
With the track between Worcester Shrub Hill and Hereford closed for repair, Network Rail warned trains between these stations would be cancelled or delayed.
West Midlands Railway customers were able to use their tickets on Transport for Wales services between Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Leominster and Hereford.
Rail replacement also ran between Worcester Shrub Hill and Hereford calling all stations in both directions.
The line reopened shortly after 4pm.
