A MAN was caught carrying a stun gun in breach of a firearms ban, a court has heard.
Jonathan Rouse admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on October 28.
The court heard 45-year-old Rouse had been carrying the stun gun in Monmouthshire on July 11 while subject to a five-year firearms ban after his release from prison and without permission of the Secretary of State.
Rouse, of Ramsey Close, Hereford, received a 12 month community order and 100 hours of unpaid work.
He must pay costs of £185, a £90 victim surcharge, and the stun gun was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
