A DRIVER has been banned from the roads after he was caught drink-driving and carrying a class A drug.
Damien Jeremy Southall admitted the offences when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on October 28.
The court heard the 33-year-old had been caught behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Caddy on Bath Street in Hereford on September 15 while over the alcohol limit.
An evidential test revealed he had 59 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
He was also found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine on the same date.
Southall, of Bonington Drive, Hereford, was fined a total of £800 and disqualified from driving for 12 months. He must also pay costs of £185 and an £80 victim surcharge.
The cocaine was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
