CHILDREN in a 'class bubble' at Riverside Primary School in Hereford have been told to stay at home for 14 days following a positive case of coronavirus within their 'school community'.
The school posted on Facebook that they had been made aware of a member of their 'school community' who has tested positive for Covid-19.
"In line with Public Health England advice, we have taken the decision to close the class bubble as a precaution, as they may have been in close contact with the individual who has tested positive for Covid-19," the school stated.
"These families have received a separate letter informing them that their child must stay at home for 14 days.
"The school remains open to all other children. Unless you have been notified by us that your child needs to self-isolate, children should continue to attend school as normal if they remain well."
The school have asked parents as a precaution to be alert for any symptoms of Covid-19. These are:
• A new or continuous cough
• A high temperature
• A loss of or change to sense of smell or taste
