ONE of the world's best-known personalities has been seen in the shops of a small market town in Herefordshire.
Starting with a trim by Sue Woodhead at Hairport, then getting in trim in the local gym Cloud 9, Santa Claus bought some much needed cheer to Kington.
He gave the thumbs up to staff at the Pharmacy and posed for pictures and waved to passers by as shoppers were delighted to see him.
After stocking up on toilet roll, a rugby shirt, coal and other goodies, Dot Jones from The Regency Cafe served him a cuppa.
Wearing a mask and safe social distancing a priority, he resumed shopping buying toys, batteries and numerous other goodies, including reading the Hereford Times in Bopsoms, before finishing off with a mince pie served by Becky Haydon at the Border Bean.
He enjoyed looking at the Christmas trees in Arrow Mills Garden Centre, bought a toaster at Tom Bounds and a surprise for the reindeer from Forget Me Knots.
Santa said he enjoyed the variety of shops in the town as he headed off to The Small Breeds Farm and Owl Centre.
Kington Chamber of Trade chairman Emma Hancocks said: "We feel very privileged to have received a visit from Santa. It’s been an incredibly tough year and to see him supporting our local businesses has brought a positive vibe and of course lots of Christmas spirit. Our town has lots to offer so join Santa and shop locally this Christmas."
