THERE were difficult driving conditions across Herefordshire overnight as low temperatures and snow hit.
Firefighters from Ewyas Harold and Peterchurch were joined by colleagues from South Wales Fire and Rescue last night (January 2) after a gritting lorry and a car crashed just over the border in Grosmont.
No-one was injured in the crash and fire crews worked to make the vehicles safe and clear up a diesel spill.
A Peterchurch Fire Station spokesperson warned that the roads are very slippery.
Herefordshire Council has this morning asked motorists to travel with care.
"We have seen freezing temperatures and snow across the county overnight. If you need to travel this morning please take extra care. Adjust your driving to suit the conditions," a council spokesperson said.
