A MAN was injured by a dangerously out-of-control dog in a Herefordshire market town, a court has heard.
Timothy Kevin Thomas Gaine admitted the offence when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford on January 6.
The court heard Gaine's Staffordshire bull terrier and bull mastiff cross pet, Zeus, had been dangerously out-of-control in Leominster's Ridgemoor Road on January 21 last year, causing injury to a person.
Gaine was fined £130 and ordered to pay compensation of £500 to the victim.
The dog was made subject to a contingency destruction order with conditions that it must be muzzled and on a lead at all times when in a public place, must never be under the control of anyone under 17, and that Gaine must obtain third party liability insurance for it.
Nor costs or surcharge order was made due to Gaine's lack of means.
