A DRUNK man was arrested after a city centre fight was caught on CCTV, a court has heard.
Luke Jordan Cook admitted being drunk and disorderly when he appeared before magistrates in Hereford.
Police were called to Hereford city centre by CCTV operators just after 9.30pm on December 19 after a fight was seen taking place outside Laura Ashley in Commercial Street, prosecutor Ralph Robyns Landricombe said.
On arrival, police found Cook, who told them he had been attacked by some men he did not know.
Officers said Cook was unsteady on his feet and was not making much sense.
But the 28-year-old was arrested after he became verbally abusive towards a member of the public, shouting insults before attempting to square up to them.

Speaking on his own behalf, Cook said he had been aggressive because he had been attacked by three men that evening.
"I was defending myself and I ended up being the one put in cuffs," Cook said.
"I was drunk and I did not understand it at the time, and I still don't now. I do regret how I reacted, but I would not have reacted so much if I had not been started on."
Cook, of Hagley Park, Bartestree, received a 12 month conditional discharge. He must pay costs of £135 and a £22 victim surcharge.
