VOTERS in Ross-on-Wye will be able to have their say in May on plans for future growth in the town.
The referendum on the Ross neighbourhood development plan which had been set for April 2 has now been confirmed for May 6.
Melvin Reynolds, NDP steering group chairman, said the plan was shortlisted for the Royal Town Planning Institute West Midlands for Planning Excellence 2020 Award.
“This was a competition dominated by huge, multi-million pound projects so the fact that the judges picked up on the approach taken by Place Studio, our consultants, when working with our small community was remarkable.
“The judges summarised by saying that the Ross-on-Wye Neighbourhood Plan has benefitted from a truly collaborative, creative, innovative and inclusive approach to community engagement, supported by Place Studio. This is to be applauded.”
The plan can be viewed electronically through the Ross Town Council website by clicking here or the official Herefordshire NDP portal.
